The Wallace area is fortunate to have choices for high quality healthcare.
The nation's top medical facilities are close by. Within fifteen minutes
of Wallace are two fully staffed hospitals, Pender
Memorial Hospital (Burgaw) and Duplin
General Hospital (Kenansville).
Wallace also features an urgent care center and many other medical practices.
Wilmington offers two fully staffed hospitals, New
Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape
Fear Memorial Hospital. New Hanover Regional Medical Center has recently
opened a progressive cancer treatment center and added helicopter transport
for trauma patients for the Wallace area as well as southeastern North
Carolina.
University of North Carolina hospitals
in Chapel Hill, Pitt Memorial at East Carolina
University, and Duke University Medical Center are all located within
90 minutes from the Wallace area. In addition to some of the nation's
outstanding facilities, the area boasts specialists in every area of medicine.

one of which includes an assisted living facility. Wallace is also home
to the NC Board of Optometry.
