Discover Wallace :: Education
The Wallace community is dedicated to the education of its children. The
area boasts many highly star rated day care centers and preschools for
the younger children. Local public and private schools are known for their
quality academic programs as well as athletic programs that have broad
community support.

Middle and Wallace-Rose
Hill High School are the local public schools, Harrells
Christian Academy is a private school with bus service from downtown
Wallace.
Wallace
Elementary School has been recognized as a Model Impact School of
Technology and received a $1.3 million grant for the purchase and integration
of technology into their curriculum. This school is designated a North
Carolina School of Distinction for its progress in the North Carolina
End of Grade Testing program.
Wallace-Rose
Hill High School leads the way in both academics and athletics. The
campus now has a state-of-the-art Fine Arts Center, seating 750 people.
Harrells
Christian Academy, is an independent preparatory co-educational day
school for students in K-12 grades. Harrells has a 100% graduation rate
of students going onto schools of higher learning.
There is an abundance of advanced learning opportunities in the greater
Wallace area. James Sprunt
Community College in Kenansville is only 15 minutes away, as is a
satellite campus of Cape
Fear Community College in Burgaw.
The University of North Carolina at Wilmington is located 30 minutes from
Wallace down Interstate 40. Cape Fear Community
College is also located in Wilmington, on the riverfront. Rounding
out opportunities for continuing education are four major universities
- Duke,
UNC, NC State, and
East Carolina University,
located within 90 minutes of Wallace.
